I do love a new year, with the sincere pledges of a fresh start and the mountain of possibilities stretching out over the next twelve months. Unfortunately I’m not quite at the stage where I can make a start on any new projects so I feel like 2015 hasn’t really begun for me yet! There are so many things that I’m desperate to get going with, not least this fantastic felting kit from Gilliangladrag that I bought for myself for Christmas. I’m really looking forward to exploring fibre arts in 2015; all the feltings (wet, Nuno, and needle), and also natural dyeing and weaving, which I’m really excited about.
However, work comes first and I have this huge order to get out of the way before I can even think about doing anything else. I’m now in the home straight, but I can’t post any photos of my progress as I’m working with two brand new tartans that won’t be unveiled until Burns night. Trust me when I tell you they’re very pretty, and definitely worth the wait! Earlier this week I was also given quite an unusual commission (for me, at least) that I’m so excited to get started on at the end of the month – more about that in February!
I tend to daydream my way through a lot of plans while I’m working, and I’ve been keeping track of all the things I want to try this year that have popped in to my head on this to do list printable that I designed to match my printable 2015 calendar. There’s a general to do list version, and a weekly to do list version. Again, these are sized to my native A4, so my US friends may have to select the ‘fit to page’ option for printing. Enjoy! :)
